Beatrice Ribeiro

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Rebello) Pamplona, she was a life-long resident of the area.

Mrs. Ribeiro was a Quality Control Inspector at Aerovox for 25 years. She also worked at St. Luke’s Hospital and the Fairhaven School Department as a Dietary Aide for several years.

She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and decorating, especially during Christmas time, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include: two sons, Michael Ribeiro and his wife Susan of Greenfield and Manuel Ribeiro and his wife Debbie of Rochester; a granddaughter, Jessica Ribeiro and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the grandmother of the late Jenny Rebecca Ribeiro and sister of the late Alice Oliveira, Irene Sousa, Alfred and Joseph Pamplano.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church, 74 Spring Street, Fairhaven. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Mattapoisett. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan, Fairlawn.
