Born in Fairhaven, a daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Sullivan) Morang; Amy lived most of her life in Fairhaven. She was the former owner of the florist shop, Amy’s Place, The Ferry Café, 37 Union Street and Center Liquor's. Amy loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She raised her family in Acushnet, she enjoyed trips to Marco Island and day trips to Foxwoods. She enjoyed decorating a number of restaurants in the area.
She is survived by her children, Nancy-Lee Duerr and her husband Bob of Salem, Richard Furtado of Key Largo, FL, Robert Furtado and his wife Debbie of New Bedford and Amy Harrington and her husband Peter of Bridgewater and Jonathan Furtado of Fairhaven; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Kenneth Furtado and grandmother of Allysa Paris Furtado.
