Obituary of James "Jack" Enos Frost
James “Jack” Enos Frost, 74, of Stafford, VA, passed away on Monday January 9th, 2023. Jim was born in Baltimore, MD, to Robert and Christabel Frost on July 7th, 1948. He grew up in Fairfax, VA, where he lived for most of his life. He was a proud graduate of N.C. State University, where he earned his nickname “Jack” and as well as a bachelors degree in horticulture. He married Joyce Anne Morris on October 7th, 1973. He worked as a distributor for the Washington Post for over 25 years before retiring. After the Post, he worked for Stafford County Schools as a bus monitor for special needs children. He loved to travel, and he did travel. In his lifetime, he traveled to all 50 states, backpacked Europe after college, and vacationed in Brazil, Spain, Turkey, and his favorite place was Vancouver, Canada. He could never visit Canada enough. He had a deep love for trains and was an active member of the National Capital Trackers, and was involved in setting up and running model trains at train shows throughout the DMV area for almost 30 years. He was the director of the National Christmas Tree Railroad which ran the setup and running of G-Scale trains around the National Christmas tree on the Eclipse near the White House every December for 27 years. He was also an active member, and newly voted to the board of the Rappahannock Railroad Museum in Fredericksburg, VA. He recently won their “Bill Jerow Volunteerism Award” for his volunteer work at the museum. James is preceded in death by his wife Joyce (2009). James is survived by his sister, his three children and their families. Sister, Janne, (Bernie) Arceo and their three children, Justinn, Lindsay, and Andrew. Son, Anthony, (Darlene) Morris and their three children, Samantha, Alex and Nicholas. Daughter, Christy Crosby, and her four children, Mark, Gregory, Scott and LeAnn. Son, Jeffery, and his son Sebastian. He also leaves behind eight great grandchildren. A visitation for James will be held Saturday, January 21st, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Demaine Funeral Home – 10565 Main St, Fairfax, VA 22030, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. There will be a reception and celebration of life after the services at 1:30 PM at Ciao Osteria in Centreville. 14115 St Germain Dr, Centreville, VA 20121 Burial will take place in the spring at a to be determined date.
