James Raymond Crawford

James Raymond Crawford, age 76, of Roswell, Georgia passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones in Virginia on September 13, 2022, after a battle with cancer through which he remained pleasant, kind and considerate despite the tolls of the disease. Jim was born to the late Anne Pearman Crawford and the late James Oliver Crawford on January 18, 1946 in Princeton, West Virginia. He grew up in his family’s home of Poughkeepsie, New York. Jim was a devoted Dad and grandfather who was full of joy, laughter and love throughout his life. Passionate about music, sports and family, his smile, energy and enthusiasm is remembered by everyone. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael, and father-in-law Charles Hedges. His memory will be cherished by his wife Paula; sister Jamey; children James, Jason, Sarah and Thomas; and grandchildren Alexandra, Keman, and Rhoan; as well as his extended family, fraternity brothers, community members and friends. Committal and burial will be at 10:30am on September 24 at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm the same day at Roswell Presbyterian Church with Pastor Lyndsay Slocum officiating. The Crawford family will receive friends on September 24 from 3:30pm until 5pm at the home of their friends, the Stewart family, in Alpharetta.
