Although I didn't know Erik well and have never met him in person, I was so privileged to have several interactions with him as we both worked at Defense Acquisition University (DAU).  I work in a different location than Erik did, but every time I reached out for assistance, he was extremely kind, friendly and helpful.  When he heard about a serious medical situation I was going through several years ago, he sent me a personal message filled with compassion, positivity and advice for facing and overcoming those dark days.  Erik had an amazing spirit, and he truly blessed me.  I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news about Erik, but I just want you to know that he touched my life deeply and I will always remember him fondly.  Sending love and prayers for your family.

Erik was a bright light in the time that I was lucky enough to work with him at ONR!  I'm so sorry for his loss.  He will be greatly missed ❤️
