She was born on November 30, 1928 in Allegheny County, Virginia and lived most of her life in Fairfax, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Calvin Whitmer and Eva Matheny Whitmer, a sister Carol Lee Burge, and the love of her life, her husband, Carl R. Jenkins, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Dan Jenkins (Debbie) and Ron Jenkins, grandchildren, Paul Jenkins (Leandra), Taylor Jenkins (Ashley), Ryan Jenkins (Courtney), Katie Yeisley (Sean), and Kyle Jenkins. She is also survived by her sister, Jane McClain.
She adored her great grandchildren, Lyla Jenkins, Ainsley Jenkins, Price Jenkins, Henry Jenkins, Graham Jenkins, and Austin Yeisley. She also leaves behind and was so very proud of her numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, 10:00 AM, at the Fairfax City Cemetery, 10567 Main Street, Fairfax, Virginia.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Fairfax United Methodist Church, 10300 Stratford Avenue, Fairfax, Virginia 22030.
