Linda was a softball coach and girl scout leader in the 1970’s with her sister Eldora. In her later years she enjoyed crafting, sewing, and shopping. She was known for being an extremely giving person and loved her family more than anything. Everyone called her Momma Bear.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Mary Greenwell.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Trigg (Wayne); son, James Tomlinson (Missy); grandchildren, Matthew Tomlinson, Jessica Kendall, Vernon Tomes Jr., Sara Tomes, Christopher Tomes, Reba Wardrip, Nikki Wardrip; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Bryan, Korinne, Camren, Trey, Kyler, Oaklyn, Serenity, Dova, Anissa, Olivia; sister, Eldora Slack (Larry); and brother, Preston Greenwell Jr.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 10am-12:30pm at Fairdale McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, Fairdale, KY. Service will be at 12:30pm with a burial to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery.
