William C. Griffith Jr.

William (Bill) C. Griffith Jr., age 66, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. Bill was born on February 8th, 1956 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Judy; a brother-in-law, Scott Thomas; a sister-in-law, Barb (Tom) Morris of Erie Pennsylvania; nephew Eric Thomas and niece Julie Thomas; a sister Pat Griffith of Indiana as well as uncles, an aunt, and numerous cousins. Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother, William and Mary Griffith.

Bill was a graduate of Park Hills High School in 1974. He was a member of marching band as well as symphonic band, stage band, and pep band as a drummer. Bill's love of drumming continued all throughout his life. Bill toured with the Georgia Michaels Band for many years and then played with The Green Street Band for several years after that. In his earlier years, Bill performed with the Commodores and Ohio Players. In 1981, he performed in a USO tour. He also was a drum shop manager for a few years and was the tour manager for the musical group Slave of Dayton, OH.

Bill worked at Elder-Beerman Distribution Center for 19 years, then worked at ABF for 11 years until he retired in 2019. He spent his retirement and final days with his wife Judy. Bill cherished the time he got to spend catching up with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with Family, especially during the holidays. Bill will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
