Denise June West-Franke, Age 57, of Fairborn Ohio, formerly of Los Angeles California. Our Beloved Denise died in her sleep on Tuesday 30 Aug 2022, at her home where she lived with her 59 year old husband "Brian" of 20 years and 30 year old daughter "Tiffani" in Fairborn Ohio. Denise she was born January 25, 1965, in Encino California to Parents Dennis and Katherine West.
Denise she graduated with a GED from Hawthorne High School in 1982. She moved around a lot ( over 25 times ) in her early years around the Los Angeles California Basin. She had lots of different jobs. She worked at the Southern California Renaissance Festival as a Serving Wench for several years during the summer time mainly. She absolutely Loved to make everyone have a good time there !! She worked in lots of different Restaurants around Los Angeles -mainly as a waitress. She worked in a Los Angeles VA Retirement Home assisting the elderly in the daily care. She worked as an admissions clerk at El Camino College for a few years. Denise graduated in the early 2000's from San Pedro Education & Career Center as a fully trained Machinist.
To all who have not had the honor and privilege to have known Denise, we would like to share a few things to let you know what Denise meant to our Family. She was one of the most loving, caring person to those who call her family and friends ! Being mainly family orientated she was always happy to see and visit family. She was always willing to help family and friends with their little jobs around the house. Nothing was too much trouble.
Denise really loved the Holidays and looked so forward to enjoying them each and every year with Family and Friends, especially Halloween time that was her favorite Holiday !! Denise also so Loved Star Wars and Star Trek science fiction genres !! She would dress up in star trek uniforms and attended quite a few sci-fi conventions through out her life -so many Happy Times !!
Denise so loved learning about anything she could !! She would snatch up any book to read and to study so many different subjects. Her knowledge of the world and life was almost legendary, whether you were nine, nineteen or ninety if you were privileged enough to be seated at the table with her, you could be sure of an interesting and lively conversation.
Denise she had this super affection for kitty cats !! She personally had probably two dozen kitty cats in her lifetime and she treasured each and everyone !!! She would call out to the cats and they would all run to her !! She So Loved Them All !! and they Loved her !!
Denise she was a friend to so many people and touched so many lives in so many different ways. She was a focus of love and affection that radiated out and touched those of us who were privileged to know her. We all have so many happy memories of Denise and these we must hold dear in our hearts and cherish them, as she cherished us. Denise was very much a private person, quite happy and content with her own company at times. Denise had her own friendly and amicable way she would endeavor to keep everyone around her Happy ! Denise counted herself lucky to have such a Loving and Caring family. Even up until just recently, it was a life well spent and enjoyed, with many Happy Times !!
Denise absolutely loved Music !! She Loved playing many different musical instruments. Her Saxophone, Flute and Piano playing filled her heart with so much Joy ! Denise she so Loved to sing all the time about anything. She was a High School Chorister and would sing at outdoor events such as Christmas Pageants. We would see so many people react happily to her singing and many would clap out loud !! Around 2013, she publicly played to applause the Flute at a Major Public event at the Queen Mary Cruise Ship in Long Beach.
Denise's greatest pride was in serving honorably and graciously as a volunteer in her spare time with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was as a Marine Safety and Environmental Protection Officer in Los Angeles Coast Guard Auxiliary from 1994 - 2004. During those volunteer years she performed search and rescue duties on several helicopter and boat search and rescues missions around Los Angeles California region. She volunteered to work numerous hours in the local Los Angeles Coast Guard Auxiliary Clothing store for several years. She performed duties in sales and Inventory management mostly. She volunteered numerous hours to help train new boat owners on Coast Guard boat safety regulations. She would volunteer many hours to clean the harbor inlets of floating garbage and debris. She was loved by her fellow volunteers as a very knowledgeable person to work with and ready to help any where she was needed.
Denise was a "Wife, Mother, Daughter, Aunt, Cousin and Friend". So many people come and go in our lives, but very few make such a deep impression as Denise has in all our lives !! - We will forever Miss her like no one else !! - We Love You So Much Our Beloved Denise !!!
- Denise is survived by her Beloved Husband Brian Franke of Fairborn Ohio. Her Beloved Daughter Tiffani West-May of Fairborn Ohio. Her Mother Katherine (Pawlicki) West of Desert Hot Springs California. Her Father Dennis West and her Step Mother Linda West of Gilroy California. Her Aunt Mandy Starr of Santa Barbara California.
