Dedicated to the local community, Dave graduated in 1977 from Beavercreek High School before studying at Wright State. A devout fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and the U D Flyers, Dave’s real passion was bowling, a legacy extending 50 years of his life that reached thousands of folks across the country. Manager of Beaver-Vu Lanes by the age of 21 and proprietor of Aero Lanes starting in 1985, the business grew and changed locations, becoming Bowl 10 Fairborn in 2011. Dave was inducted into the Greater Dayton USBC Hall of Fame in 2009 for Superior Performance and was awarded the Pat Marazzi Achievement Award from the Bowling Proprietors Association earlier this year. He will be remembered as a mentor, coach and friend.
Dave’s love for the sport was infectious and while he won many singles and team competitions, he’d tell you his luckiest strike was marrying fellow kegler, Jeri, in 1996. In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves behind sons Jason (Natalie) Blair, John Blair and David (Andrea) Blair, cherished granddaughters Mikalya, Mackenzie, Madison, Taylor, Allyson and Vivian and his sister Vicki (Ken) Huckaby. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews and the entire bowling family.
A Celebration of Life honoring Dave is scheduled for September 28, 2024 at 4:00pm at his second home, Bowl 10 Fairborn.
Burcham Tobias Funeral Home in Fairborn, is handling the arrangements.
Condolences can be sent to the family at www.burchamtobiasfuneralhome.com.
