William (Bill) Brown was born in Wanamie, PA, the youngest child of William and Geneva (Stair) Brown. He graduated from Newport High School and went on to get his Bachelor of Arts Degree from CA State University Stanislaus. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service and later retired from civil service at McClellan Air Force Base. He and his wife Beverly of 63 years traveled through all 50 states camping, exploring trails, and bicycling. He especially loved to get together with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. William is survived by his wife, Beverly ,his children, Elizabeth (Beth) (Nez) Lourence, William (Lisa) Brown, Brenda (Paul) Scott, and Bradley Brown, his grandchildren, Poetik (Kelsey), Alexandra (Derik), Joshua, Sydney, Daniel (Alicia), Madison, Izabelle, Grace, great grandson, Mateo, his sister Doris, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His place of internment will be Sacramento National Cemetery at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s. Fond Memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family through the Mount Vernon Website.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road Dixon, CA 95620
