Richard Garcia

Richard, or Brigido, as we all knew him, had a very loving soul. He was generous and always willing to help anyone in need. He treated everyone with respect and compassion. He was always cheerful and smiling.

In Richard’s earlier life, he helped run Mom is Cooking, a Mexican restaurant in San Francisco. He was the ambiance of the restaurant, the life of the party. His charismatic personality and cheery disposition drew people from far and wide. He made the best margaritas, his specialty. Some of his clientele included SF Mayor Willie Brown, SF Giants Manager Dusty Baker, SF Police Department and SF Hells Angels Bikers, among many others.

Richard’s friendships with his police officer customers inspired him to pursue a second career as a Security Guard. He took pride in being a guard and he approached his work very professionally. He was much sought-after, working for stores such as Autozone, Gucci, Chanel and Cartier.

Richard, unfortunately, struggled with severe health issues but now he is at peace. Richard is survived by his brothers, nieces, nephews and extended family, his home family and many friends. May he rest in paradise.

Richard, o Brigido, como lo conocíamos, tuvo un espiritu muy amoroso. Él era muy generoso y amable, siempre disponible para ayudar a los demás. Trataba a todos con respeto y compasión. Él siempre andaba felíz y sonriente.

En tiempos atrás, Richard ayudo a manejar Mom is Cooking, un restaurante en San Francisco. Él era el ambiente y la vida de la fiesta. Su personalidad carismática y sonrisa alegre atraía a la gente de todos lados. Él hacía las mejores margaritas, su especialidad. Sus clientes incluyeron el Alcade Willie Brown, el gerente de los SF Giants Dusty Baker, el Departamento de Policía y los motociclistas Hells Angels, entre otros.

La amistad con el Departamento de Policía le inspiró a perseguir una segunda carrera como guardia de seguridad. Fue un orgullo para él ser guardia y él tomaba su trabajo muy seriamente. Él trabajó en lugares como Autozone, Gucci, Chanel y Cartier.

Richard, lamentablemente, padecía de condiciones médicas, pero ahora ya está en paz. Le sobreviven sus hermanos, sobrinos y sobrinas, familia extendida, familia de hogar y muchas amistades. Lo extrañaremos mucho. Que en paz descanse Richard Garcia.
