Irma Rose Blecker, 96, 0f Fair Oaks passed away June 20, 2016 at Eskaton of Fair Oaks. Irma was born to Fanny (Beale) and Arthur Schilling in East Moline, Illinois. She owned ' Irma's Sandwich Shop' at age 16, worked various while raising her children and was a parachute rigger at McClellan Air Force Base for 18 years. She was a volunteer at Gleaners for 15 years as well as Music Circus and the Sacramento Jazz Festival. She was a member of Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church. Irma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many including the residents of Fair Oaks Eskaton Care Center.
Irma is survived by Her son Don (Carol) Blecker of Fair Oaks and daughter Linda Scott of Burlington, Vermont. She is further survived by her granddaughters: Wendy Blecker (Harvey Seidel) of Citrus Heights, California, Rebecca Blecker-Knorr (Charles Knorr) of Rancho Cordova, and Sarah Statts (Carlo Amendola of Castel Bianco, Italy, grandsons Aaron (AJ) Blecker-Davis of Shaw AFB, South Carolina, Nicholas Kumulian of Citrus Heights, Ca., Conner Knorr and Carson Knorr of Rancho Cordova, Ca., Great-granddaughters: Lizzie Seidel of Citrus Heights, Eva and Anna Amendola of Castel Bianco, Italy. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.at Mount Vernon Memorial Park in Fair Oaks.
