DeBlasio, Ethelene Mae – Age 87. Resident of Woodland. Entered into life on August 17, 1925 in Sacramento, California to Archie and Ilette “Peggy” Cope. Entered into rest on December 18, 2012 in Woodland, California. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, James F. DeBlasio. Ethelene is survived by her children James A. (Kellie) DeBlasio, Peggy (John) Clayton, David (Mary) DeBlasio and Sharan (Dan) Laird; grandchildren Lisa (Mark) Soga, Joel (Chandra) DeBlasio, James F. and Catherine DeBlasio, Jennifer (Matt) Warren, Zeb (Cara) Clayton, Steven (Brandy) DeBlasio, Robin (Louie) DeBlasio, Christina Frye, Nicholas Frye, Brianna (Arik) DeBlasio and George McCloud; 10 Great-Grandchildren and sister Margaret (Don) Emery. Ethelene worked as a telephone operator at McClellan Air Force Base during WWII, where she met and fell in love with her husband, James. She was a lifelong, dedicated homemaker with a passion for cooking and was known for her lovingly prepared meals. Ethelene enjoyed travelling, especially with her travel-trailer, a favorite destination being the Klamath River, where she and James settled for several years. Throughout her life she spent many vacation seasons at the family getaway home in Dillon Beach where she loved spending time near the ocean. In her later years she cherished spending time with her family and also spent many joyous hours playing cards, games and socializing with her friends at Palm Gardens. Ethelene was dearly loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park – 8201 Greenback Ln.
