Dennis Gene Williams of Fallon, Nevada passed on January, 6, 2020. Dennis was born to Harold and Bessie (Brown) Williams in their Maynard IA farmhouse on May 14, 1941. Dennis was the 6th of their 7 children. He entered school at Maynard, went to a country school in Hawkeye, then finished his education in Texas at Harlingen’s Gay Highschool after a move in 1951 due to Bessie’s health. Dennis worked at a Harlingen florist then moved to San Antonio in 1960 for employment at Alamo Iron Works. Shortly after arriving In San Antonio, he met the love of his life, Evelyn Otto and they eloped on January 28, 1962 to be married in Reynosa Mexico. They moved to California early in the summer of 1962 settling in Rio Linda. 1963 brought them the addition of Dennis Jr to their family. In 1968 Dennis and Evelyn purchased a home in Carmichael where they lived until their move to Fallon in 2002. Dennis’s various occupations included: turkey breeding, Hudson fuel station attendant, driver for Cream of the Valley Eggs, proprietor of the Burger Queen Frosty, Freight-liner driver for Applegate Drayage, ending his career with firearms repair and Williams Sports & Antiques. His hobbies included leather work, carpentry, antique gas engines & tractors, boating, RV camping, fishing, and hunting-especially in Africa. Dennis loved spending time with family and friends. Dennis is survived by siblings Elaine Kerr, Marjorie Feuerhelm, Frances Thyer, Faye Spaeth and Mary Williams, son Dennis Gene Williams Jr and wife Jodi, grandson Tyler and wife Nikki, great grandchildren, Owen and Georgia, numerous nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Bessie, wife Evelyn, brother Harold “Lee” and 8 in-laws.
