David (Dave) Cook was born on January 4, 1949, in Hawthorn, California to his parents James and Georgina Cook. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, Dave loved watching and listening to the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1969, he was drafted into the Marine Corps where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. After serving his country, Dave began his long career in the construction lending industry industry. In 1974 he married his wife Geri, and they started their family. In 1981, Dave and his family moved from southern California to Sacramento where they have lived ever since. Dave was active in his kids’ lives and passed down his love of sports, history, politics, and music to them. Dave is survived by his wife Geri, his children Sean, Ryan, Tim, Kevin, and Kathleen, his daughter-in-laws Kelley and Lauren, his son-in-law Jordan, and his grandkids.
