Was the funniest person in the room, and the life of the party, yet always welcoming. Will remember him fondly.

I still remember coming over to your house in San Ramon for a visit, so long ago but still remembered.  Darryl was the nicest person, I think back with a great feeling that day, I don't remember much of  the conversations but there was laughter.

Dear Susan and Children, 
I was so very sorry to hear this sad news. I send you my deep condolences, although although such words always fall short in conveying our feelings. 
Just a couple of months ago, I was very pleasantly surprised by a phone call from Darryl, we had quite a nice conversation. 
I shall forever be grateful to all of the Taylor/Jenkins cousins, including you and Darryl, for giving me a warm welcome into the family, and continuing to do so, even after we lost Ira.

There are no words to express my heartfelt sympathy to the Jenkins family. Deacon Jenkins was my Sunday School teacher at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA when I was a young girl.  He and Susan have made a lasting impact on my life, for which I will be forever grateful. Deacon Jenkins was a true man of God who lived what he believed. Praying for God's strength for the entire family.

While I did not work directly with Darryl at CubeSmart, we have connected with each other over the last several years at meetings.  He was an amazing man.  Funny and complimentary towards others.   We always shared a good laugh over the funny things that happen in this world.  My condolences to the family and loved ones of Darryl.  He will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him.  

Dear Susan and family, What a shock to hear of Darryl's passing!  I am so saddened today .  DJ was a true friend and I loved him like blood.  He was a Kappa brother and I served as his VP when he was president of the 100 Black Men of Sacramento, Inc.  You couldn't ask for a better man or friend!  Darryl, you are loved and missed, but NOT forgotten!  God bless!
