Barbara Price, 7/5/1931 – 4/22/2013, put up a valiant fight against Lung Cancer for 3 years but finally succumbed to the dreaded disease. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles (Chuck) of Citrus Heights, and their son, Michael (Mike) of Pittsburg, KS. Their daughter, Penny L. Brown, preceded her in death in July, 2012. She is also survived by a sister, Carma Kepler of Citrus Heights, and a brother, Jack Shepard of West Jordan, UT. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Sierra Hematology & Oncology, RAS Radiation Oncology Center, and Mercy Oncology Nurse Navigators all of Carmichael, and Mercy Hospice of Rancho Cordova for their undeniable professionalism and outstanding loving care. A viewing will be held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane in Fair Oaks on Fri, 4/26/2013 from 4-7pm; with a cryptside service to follow on Sat, 4/27/2013 at 10am. Reception to follow the committal service at Mount Vernon.
