One of a Kind
Our mother, who is now high above, has always shined so bright. With love and kindness, you’ve touched so many lives. You will continue to shine in our hearts because you are one of a kind.
-Allyson, Rose, Grace
We lost our beloved wife, mother, friend, and sister on November 6, 2022. Gloria has been in so much pain for a long time, but she continued to be a kind, selfless, compassionate, and caring person. Gloria left this world but had the opportunity to hear her loved ones from around the world express how beautiful she was, how she touched their lives, and how much they loved her. She was surrounded by her husband Evan and daughters Rose, Grace, and Allyson until her last breath.
From an early age, she inherited her generosity, kindness, and loving personality from her parents. She was beautiful not only on the inside but also on the outside. Amongst her family and friends, they called her the Elizabeth Taylor or Amalia Fuentes of the Philippines. As a young lady, she participated in numerous beauty pageants and singing contests in which she excelled. She was considered a fashionista amongst her cousins and siblings. She was also a good seamstress. She was a very happy individual, never giving in to anger, who shared everything she had with everyone.
Gloria ran a clothing store in Urdaneta, Philippines. She traveled to Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore to purchase clothes, bags, and accessories for her business. She eventually moved to Washington State with her kids to be closer to family and provide a better life for her children. There she found her beloved husband, Evan.
In addition to spending time with her family during her off time. Gloria, Evan, and Aunt Virgie AKA (The Three Musketeers) were inseparable. They had a tradition every Veterans Day where they would drive to different Starbucks and Little Caesars to get free coffee and pizza. Besides going on drives together, Gloria loved gardening, watching tv, and drinking coffee, and cooking with her husband. She also loved spending time with the grandkids. Gloria was an exceptional wife and at the same time, she was also an amazing mother. She always taught her daughters to be kind and treat others the way they want to be treated. Her daughters and husband meant the world to her. Even to this day, she made sure that they were taken care of.
Gloria is survived by her husband, daughters, sisters, grandkids, and many more.
