Donald was reunited with is beloved wife of 58 years, Suzanne Albright who proceeded him in passing September 11, 2016.
Donald was born to Martin and Ruth Albright in Monroe, Michigan. Don graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Engineering Mechanics with a major in Aerodynamics. Don had an impressive 13 year career in the Navy which he piloted various fighter jets, mainly the A-3 Skywarrior aboard the USS Oriskany. Navy career ended when his plane went down after a Jet-assist take off out of NAS Cubi Point and landed in the waters of Subic Bay during Vietnam War where fortunately all crew members survived.
Don since then received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Washington and started a new career with the National Labor Relations Board in Seattle which also sent him to Alaska for a brief period of time in Anchorage.
Donald and Suzanne both enjoyed sailing their boat throughout the Puget Sound and Flying parts of country in their Cessna 180.
They will both be missed but not forgotten and we will always remember the great adventures we experienced with them.
They leave behind three children; Christine Albright, Dianna Bird and Michael (Susan) Albright. Six grandchildren; Jesse (Laura) Bird, Shanan Bird, Benjamin Wright, Lillian Albright, Miriam Albright, Claire Albright and soon to be Great Grandson Waylon Bird.
