Dale LeRoy Anderson was born June 7, 1934, to Ernest and Julia Anderson in Winner, SD. He passed away at age 85 on October 13, 2019, in Fairborn, Ohio. Dale was the youngest of 10 siblings that grew up on a farm in Winner, South Dakota. He weighed two pounds when he was born and kept warm in a shoebox in the oven.
He relocated to Washington, where he worked for Boeing for 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed working at his church, Gospel Light Temple, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and trustee. Dale was cherished by many due to the way he enriched and blessed their lives no matter what his circumstances were. He loved to talk about Jesus, who transformed his life as an adult.
He enjoyed the outdoors, visiting with friends and family, traveling, listening to Southern Gospel music, yodeling, and making others happy.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, 10 siblings, and his second wife, Esther Anderson
He is survived by his two daughters, Jane Young (Seminole, FL) and Cynthia Hopper (Springfield, OH), grandsons, Jared and Jaren Young (The Woodlands, TX); the mother of his children, Denise Patton (Humble, TX); two step-children and many step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on October 24, 2019. Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery in Everett, Washington.
