John Craig Simpson (Craig Simpson) our beloved brother, passed away Sunday, June 19th, after a long battle with a rare and incurable disease, AL-Amyloidosis. He is survived by his sisters and their families: Cathy and Rich Roark, Karen and Steve Moulton and their daughters Lara and Katie Moulton, Connie and Duane Henderson and their daughters, Nicole and Alissa Henderson and his brother, Chris and Riene Simpson and Chris' sons, Sean and Shane Simpson. He is also survived by his beloved pet dog, "Angel". Craig enjoyed the great outdoors and throughout his life he enjoyed water-sports like surfing, wind-surfing, waterskiing, but his passions were bird-hunting and fishing. He was most appreciative of the friendships he built while enjoying these activities with others. Our families would like to thank all his neighbors, cousins, friends and co-workers who have helped him along in his struggle and have reached out to us in the wake of this loss of our dear brother. Donations may be made in Craig's name to the University of Washington Medicine Medical Research Innovation Fund. Be sure to specify AL-Amylodosis Research. The site is https:give.uwmedicine.org. AFTERGLOW
I'd like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles
When life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering
Softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times
And bright sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
