She was a founding member of Fares Avenue Baptist Church and worked for the Credit Bureau of Evansville for many years. She loved children and touched many lives through babysitting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James K. Johnson, in 2011; and her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Macey Uplinger and her husband, Mark, of Evansville and Billie Patterson and her husband, Greg, of Chandler; grandchildren, Mark Uplinger, Jr., Madelyn Uplinger, Grant Patterson and Reagan Patterson.
Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. James Gibson and Rev. Robert Nall, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Baptist Association.
