Obituary of Wesley Warren Weber
Wesley W. Weber, 93, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Deaconess Hospice. He was born October 10, 1922, to the late Carl and Bessie (Sly) Weber. He was a WWII Army Veteran having served in the Pacific Theater and with the Occupation Forces in Japan. He also served one year in the Korean War. Wesley was owner of Weber Equipment Co. where he worked until retirement in 1984. He was lifetime member of Old Tyme Auto Club and a Charter member of the Tri-State Model A Fords. He also belonged to VFW Post #1114, American Legion Post #8, Eagles Club #427, and was a member of Albright United Methodist Church. Wesley enjoyed fishing, hunting, antique cars, and playing Clabber. Wesley was preceded in death by his brothers, Everett, Clarence, Ernest and Larry Weber; sisters, Blanche Maurer and Loretta Parker; and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Bonita Merle (Taylor) Weber; daughters, Sharon Ann (Ron) Settle and Cynthia Sue (Leonard) Bush, all of Evansville, IN; step-daughters, Sharon (Jim) Hager of Palos Heights, IL and Sharla Harker of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Corey Brust, Dustin Bush, Greg (Dedra) Settle and Christina (Brandon) Holder, all of Evansville, IN; step-grandchildren, Valerie (Rich) Henning, Eric (Beth) DeVillez all of IL; nine great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene (Charles) Stuckey of Evansville, IN; brother, Bob Weber of Evansville, IN; sisters-in-law, Betty and Brenda Weber; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and volunteers at Deaconess VNA Hospice, and the staff at Holiday Retirement Village. Funeral services will be held 10:00 Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Patrick Jackson, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Albright United Methodist Church.
