Virginia L. Knight

Virginia “Ginny” Knight, 94, of Evansville passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. She was born July 16, 1927 in Princeton, Indiana to the late Arnett and Esther (Ransford) Woods. Ginny’s main focus in life was her family and she would always help anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Knight, son, Harold Knight, and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Ginny is survived by sons, Douglas Knight (Melissa), Dennis Knight (Evelyn) and Daniel Knight; 9 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother and 3 sisters. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, officiated by Pastor Kyle Weisheit, the funeral will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2021 and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a favorite charity.
