Virginia Olene McKinley Cole

Virginia Olene Cole, 89, of Evansville, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh. She was born July 12, 1923, in Blackford, Kentucky. She was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church for 30 years and was a “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII. Virginia made Cathedral Window Quilts and was a great cook, mother and friend. Virginia is survived by her husband, Ben Cole of Evansville; daughter, Brenda Fulkerson (Bob) of Newburgh; and grandsons, Kenny and Brock Fulkerson, both of Evansville. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 29, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert Nall, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
