Virginia Olene Cole, 89, of Evansville, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh. She was born July 12, 1923, in Blackford, Kentucky.
She was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church for 30 years and was a “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII. Virginia made Cathedral Window Quilts and was a great cook, mother and friend.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Ben Cole of Evansville; daughter, Brenda Fulkerson (Bob) of Newburgh; and grandsons, Kenny and Brock Fulkerson, both of Evansville.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 29, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Robert Nall, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
