She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Dennis Keith Herrenbruck of Evansville, IN; sons Daniel R. Herrenbruck (Meghann) & Matthew J. Herrenbruck (Jennifer); daughter Allison S. Lowbruck (TJ); beloved grandchildren Abbigayle, Alyssa, Julianna, Greyson Herrenbruck, and Lincoln Lowbruck; brother Jack Homburg (Kathy); and sister Dianna Renschler (Scott).
Susanne dedicated her life to loving and caring for those around her, both in her personal and professional life. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, she cared for the Evansville community in numerous locations including Welborn Clinic, Deaconess Hospital and the VA Clinic from which she retired.
As a follower of Jesus, she was thrilled to serve others within her church and the local Tres Dias communities. She also served those in need through an inspiring mission trip to the Ukraine. Susanne’s compassion for those around the world undoubtedly stems from her younger years in Panama. The Homburg family was stationed there while Susanne’s father served in the US Air Force.
Susanne never met a stranger, only a friend she didn’t know yet. Whether she was with family or friends on a trip, playing card games, watching a child’s or grandchild’s ballgame, dance recital, or orchestra performance, or simply knitting something to give away, Susanne consistently gave her time and talents to those around her. Her love was both abundant and unconditional, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
