Ruby Carolyn Liebchen, 76, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born October 27, 1939, in Evansville to the late Thomas and Ruby Mauzey.
She died after a battle with cancer and was sustained through the struggle by her friends, neighbors, family and church.
Carolyn loved walking, reading, working in her yard and visiting her grandchildren in Florida. She graduated from Bosse High School, Lockyear Business College and went to work as a secretary at Mead Johnson. In 1969 she began a 30 year real estate career, later opening her own agency.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1993.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Kenneth (Tammy) Liebchen of Wesley Chapel, FL and grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexandria Liebchen.
The family gratefully acknowledges the assistance and support of Dr. Tom Waits and his team at Oncology and Hematology Associates and Dr. Mark Meyer.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, March 4, 2016, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Rev. Dale Beaver, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
