She lived in Miami Springs, Florida and worked at a Mission for Seminole Indians on a reservation near Ft. Lauderdale for 10 years. Rosemary married Paul Cantner in 1945. They were married 56 years until his death in 2001. She worked as a nurse for many years at Deaconess Hospital and Welborn Hospital, almost entirely in the pediatric unit. Rosemary loved to travel. She loved animals, dogs, cats, birds, and koi. Rosemary loved to read. Her husband helped to start the Boys Club of Evansville. She was a very active member of East Side Christian Church. She had a very strong and positive spirit.
Rosemary is survived by her nieces, Jeanmarie Martell Glasser, Patricia Jean Martell Briest, and Dian Martell-Rafferty; and her nephews, Richard Martell, Donald Martell, David Martell, and Steve Martell.
She deeply appreciated the kind treatment she received at Evansville Protestant Home. Rosemary also wishes to acknowledge the great help provided to her by her caretaker, James Meredith.
A Private Funeral Service will be held.
