Roger Dale Cox

Roger Dale Cox, 66, of Owensboro, formerly of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born June 13, 1957 in Rochester, Kentucky to the late John Edward and Pauline (Phillips) Cox.
He was a veteran of the US Army. Roger Dale was a certified mechanic and worked at Don Moore Automotive in Owensboro, Romain Buick and Speedy Oiler in Evansville. He enjoyed fixing just about anything for his family and friends. He loved driving his 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, working on lawnmowers and cars, fishing and the Dallas Cowboys.
Roger Dale is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tammy Cox; daughter, Leann Bishop (Chris); sons, Jeffrey Dale Cox (Yvonne) and Christopher Aaron Neal (Matthew); grandchildren, Kaci Lynn Cox, Braylon Dale Bishop, Kaitlyn Bishop, Amaya Bishop, Andrew Dale Cox, Jaden Lynn Cox and Collin Drake Cox; bonus granddaughter, Tinlee Rae Trogden; brother, Howard “Tooter” Cox (Mary); sisters, Susan Allen, Edna Terry (Jim) and Blanche Allen (Eddie), and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Chester Cox and Eddie Cox.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN, officiated by Rev. Edna Terry where full military honors will be conducted by the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
