Robert R. Miller Sr.

Robert “Bob” R. Miller, Sr., 88, of Evansville passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was born January 14, 1936 in Evansville to the late Raymond and Jeanette (Brown) Miller. He was born and raised in Evansville and attended Bosse High School. He then moved to Chicago and attended DeVry University, and worked at Motorola. Bob and Shirley met and married in Chicago and moved back to Evansville in 1970. He retired from Whirlpool after 25 years of employment. During this time he was also a realtor. Bob was a member of Evansville Lodge #64, where he served as Past Master. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Elizabeth Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Shirley J. Miller; sons, Robert R. Miller, Jr. (Nancy), and Donald R. Miller; daughter, Sandra L. Buswold (Stephen); grandchildren, Robert Miller (Bridgett) and Michael Miller; great grandchildren, Jacob Miller and Ryan Miller; niece, Kimberly Tremblay, and great niece, Sydney Tremblay. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor David Wiist, with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
