Ralph E. Dierlam

Ralph graduated from North High School in 1967 and Indiana State University of Evansville (USI) in 1971. He was a member of Poseyville Masonic Lodge and had been employed by Swanson Nunn Electrical, Alcoa, Montgomery Ward, and Sears.

He loved animals and his dogs Asa and Bocca were his "kids". He trained and showed Quarter horses. He enjoyed designing, planting and growing flower beds in his yard and collecting fine art and antiques. Ralph was always learning new things and working with his hands. He was always lending a helping hand when others were in need. Ralph always enjoyed a good joke and would look for the simple humor in life and chuckle and smile about it.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luella and Ervin Dierlam; and his godfather, Edgar Klenck.

He is survived by his sister, Clara G. Hartig (Gilbert); brothers, Carl A. Dierlam (Betty Russell) and Gene W. Dierlam (Jeannie Moit); four nieces, Gayle Dierlam (Bill Arvin), Debbie Bippus (Chris), Connie Hartig-Evans (Jeremy) and Casey Dierlam; one nephew, Mark Dierlam (Misty); 9 great nieces and nephews; caregivers and friends, Gary Cameron, Betty and Charles Burk of Rock Island, IL; his two dogs, Asa and Bocca.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel.
