Philip Williams, 72, of Evansville, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. He was born June 7, 1940, in Princeton, IN, to the late Leo and Marcia (Seed) Williams.
He was a lifetime member of McCutchanville Community Church, where he was a dedicated volunteer and especially enjoyed the Methodist Men’s Lenten Breakfasts. He worked at George Koch Sons for 38 years, retiring as Manager of International Development. He traveled the world as part of his job, visiting every continent. Phil was in the Army in the 101st Airborne Division stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. He served as an Airborne Ranger on a deployment to Mainz, Germany. He was an Engineering graduate from Purdue University and was an avid Boilermaker fan. He was a member of the Optimist Club and Toastmasters International.
Philip is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Williams; son, Shawn (Lisa) Williams; daughter, Kelly (Ken) Henderson; sister, Jill Mason; brothers, Barry, Michael and Richard Williams; and two grandchildren, Katie and Emily Williams.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 3, 2012, at McCutchanville Community Church, 9505 Petersburg Road, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road.
