Paul H. Simpson

Paul H. Simpson, 96, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown. He was born September 4, 1925 in Heilman, Indiana to the late Raymond and Flora (Bruce) Simpson.
Paul retired in 1984 from CSX Railroad after 40 years, where he was an office train master and chief train rule examiner. He was a US Army Veteran, member of VFW Post 1114, American Legion Post 8, and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 427. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, ballroom dancing and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Mary (Payne) Simpson; son, Herb Simpson (Debby); daughter, Toni F. Harmon (Carlie); son, Gary A. Simpson (Brenda); daughter, Angela Redmon; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Rollin Simpson (Janice); sister, Mary A. Harris; and nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Rollin Simpson, with entombment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by the Retired Veterans Memorial Club. Friends may visit Monday from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
