Patricia (Patty) Ryan, proud mom, dedicated sister, beloved friend, and cherished Gigi. She departed her very colorful, love-and-laughter-filled life on January 24, 2023. Among her many roles in life include an amazing wife and mother, a friend of many, and life of the party. Patty died peacefully, surrounded by her family, joining her parents, her husband John, her daughter Mindy, and her cat Johnny Boy in their eternal home.
Gigi will be most remembered for her infectiously positive spirit and her unflinching optimism. The resounding sentiment from the lifetime of friends and family that reached out to her in recent months was how bright and happy she always was, and how that positivity and feeling of love they received from her will be what they miss most.
She was a high-octane mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as family was one of her most cherished assets. Patty was born in Evansville, IN on March 25, 1937 and attended Central High School. She is survived by her children, Mickey Effinger(Bob) and Mike Ryan(Barbara), her 5 grandchildren Katie Hewitt, Andy Effinger (Kelsey), Matt Hill (Jessica) Luke Hill, and Jonathan Ryan (Holly), and her 9 great-grandchildren Ben, Autumn, Amelia, Lane, Levi, Stella, Avery, Presley, and Banks.
