Nader was born near Cairo, Egypt to parents Henry Amin Wahba and Sophie Hanna. He lived much of his life in Egypt and Europe until meeting his beloved wife, Crystel née Baize. They met in Brussels, Belgium in 1976, and married in 1977. They resided in the United States since, having lived in several states.
Nader earned his undergraduate degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He continued his studies at the University of Evansville and earned a Master of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems in 1986. He also held a CBA (Chartered Bank Auditor). He traveled to nearly every continent, spoke multiple languages, with fluency in English, Arabic, and French. Over the course of his career in the corporate world, he held positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, as well as Trust Department Bank Auditor. He worked with several companies, including PepsiCo, UPS, and GAP. In addition to these companies, he and Crystel owned businesses throughout their marriage.
In 2012, Nader and Crystel retired and returned to Evansville to be near family and friends. Nader soon became an adjunct professor at the University of Evansville and also did some consulting work. Continuing in retirement, Nader began working for Home Depot, where he found a family of coworkers whom he dearly loved. On countless occasions, he remarked that his coworkers had added much to his daily life, and he was so glad he found them waiting for him at Home Depot. He enjoyed working with them and directly helping customers in the kitchen design area.
Nader is survived by his loving wife Crystel (Baize) Henry-Amin, brother Rafik Wahba and wife Suzie, sister Marlene Farag and husband Magdi, brother Hany Wahba and wife Marcelle, and several nieces. Also surviving is his mother-in-law Martha Baize, brother-in-law Lynley Baize, sister-in-law Lancesa Baize Clausheide and her husband Kevin. Nader was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Michael Farag.
Visitation services will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714. After cremation, interment plans will be decided at a later point.
