Marjorie "Margie" A. France

Marjorie “Margie” Ann France, 83, of Evansville, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was born on April 18, 1939 in Evansville to Orien and Georgia (Tolliver) Brandenberger. She was a Christian of the Pentecostal faith. Margie retired from Visiting Nurse Plus. She enjoyed cooking for her family, friends, and neighbors, gardening, baking, candy making, and was an avid reader. Margie made the best tabasco sauce from peppers she grew herself. She loved her diet coke and puff corn. Marjorie was lovingly known as Mom, Mother, Mammaw, and Granny. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 43 years, Cecil “Wayne” France; grandson, Jason France; brother, Roger Brandenberger; and her beloved dog, Dixie. She is survived by her children, Dennis France (Cindy Coffman), Tina Dare (Brian), and Michael France; grandchildren, Shannon Mizerak (Scott), Charles France, Sean France, Steven Dare (Michelle), Anthony Dare, and Heather Dare-Russell (Jonathan); five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Judy Ricketts and Connie Fischer. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Terry Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Anton, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
