Marilyn DeShields

Ruth Marilyn DeShields, 84, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at her home. She was born October 22, 1938, in Evansville to the late Clement N. and Flora (Bickle) Frank. Marilyn was a homemaker. She was a member of Forest Hills Wesleyan Church. Marilyn loved to travel, work crossword puzzles, and watch game shows. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen “Mick” DeShields; parents; brother, Clement A. Frank; and sister, Jeanette Carr. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Brenda Peak; granddaughter, Nickie Frye (Joe); great grandsons, Ethen Frye, Elliott Frye and Evrett Frye; nieces, Kathy Burkdoll, Debbie Kempf (Greg) and Pam Winnecke; nephews, Leonard Carr (Donna), Mark Carr (Sharon), and Clement Carr; great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Tupman Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Forest Hills Wesleyan Church, 2801 Claremont Avenue, Evansville, IN 47712.
