Margaret "Marnie" Jean Utley

Margaret “Marnie” Jean Utley, 61, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born on May 5, 1963, in Evansville, to the late Robert Lee Hart and Florence Jane (Hemmingway).

Marnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Known for her boundless love, she was affectionately called “Nanna” by many. She was deeply devoted to her family and extended her care to anyone in need. Marnie had a passion for crafting, particularly bowmaking, and found joy in creating beautiful, handmade treasures. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support will be missed tremendously.

She is survived by her son, Arthur Brian Utley II (Jessica); daughters, Brandy Utley and Alicia Utley; and her cherished nine grandchildren: Kody Kobie (and his girlfriend Mika Small), Lilly Kobie, Keara Presley, Kiylah Presley, Brian Utley, Brayden Utley, Addison Wise, Rose Wise, and Evelyn Wise; and siblings, Robert (Mary) Hart and Rebecca Utley; as well as several extended family members.

Marnie was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kristrian Jane Utley; and her grandsons, Devon and Logan Kobie.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Visitation on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 PM, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a charity of your choice in Marnie’s memory.
