Larry Wayne Kalinowski, 78, of Evansville, IN passed away Monday, June 3, 2024. He was born on April 2, 1946 in Madisonville, KY to the late Marvin J. Kalinowski and Margaret (Frazier) Kalinowski.
Larry was a Tank Commander in the Army. He worked in maintenance for the E.V.S.C. for 30 years. He belonged to the Lapidary Club and the Evansville Radio Control Model Aircraft Club. He enjoyed camping, sailing, traveling, and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Margaret Kalinowski; brother, Marvin Kalinowski, Jr.; and niece, Tanya Kasten.
Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy (Lilly) Kalinowski; daughter, Melody Helmbrecht (Jon); son, Larry Kalinowski Jr. (Elizabeth); grandchildren: Jimi Helmbrecht, Lilly and Asher Kalinowski; son, Jamey Biddle; grandchildren, Todd, Kyler, Riley, and Avey Biddle; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Raymond James Helmbrecht; brothers, Bernard and Michael Kalinowski; sister, Rebecca King; nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Jason Davis followed by entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
