IN THE CARE OF
Alexander Funeral Home-East Chapel
Keith Morris, 69, made his journey to the Spirit World on May 19th, 2020, in Evansville, IN.
Keith attended Bosse High School, and studied commercial art at USI. He worked as a
Journeyman Model Maker at Whirlpool for over 40 years before retiring.
Keith loved to play guitar and write songs, especially with friends. His passion for making
Native American regalia, and deep respect for Lakota culture, was something that impacted his
entire life. He enjoyed the outdoors, exploring the west, SCUBA diving, fishing, and riding his
motorcycle. He was a talented artist and craftsman. Keith was a big hearted man, a free spirit
who loved to make you laugh. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Grace “Louise” Morris, and his best
friend Duke.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 36 years, Dorothy. He was the beloved father of Isaac
Liley (April), Erik Morris (Vikki), Kelly McDowell (Mikey Joe), and Seth Morris; beloved stepfather
of Paul Krause (Heidi) and Katy Granderson (Beaver); beloved brother of Roger Morris,
Julie Benton (Charlie), and sister, Phyllis Maddox; and the dear grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle
and friend of many.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Red Cloud Indian School at
redcloudschool.org.
