Obituary of Judy Winn (Matthews) Morrison
Sunday, July 15, 2018, Judith W. (Matthews) Morrison, 62, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord after a 20 month battle with brain cancer. Her final day was spent surrounded by family and friends, enjoying her favorite treats at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born January 9, 1956 in Evansville. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1974. Judy attended Grace Baptist Church. She was a stay at home mother, loving grandmother and primary caretaker for many in her family. Judy was an active member of the local Navy Mom’s Chapter. She had a heart for volunteering and showed her love for the Lord through witnessing to others. She enjoyed exercise, gardening, crochet and knitting, bird watching, crafts and travel. Judith was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Matthews. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dennis L. Morrison; daughter, Jennifer Choisser (Bryan); son, Kenneth Morrison (Kaelyn); grandchildren, Andrew, Harrison and Emberlee Choisser and James Morrison; father, Russell Matthews; brother, Warren Matthews (Becky), and nephews and a niece. A Funeral Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church, 1200 N. Garvin Street, officiated by Pastor Ray Deeter, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3:00-8:00PM, Friday, July 20, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road and Saturday, 9:00AM to service time at the church.
