She was retired after 20 years from Citizens Bank on Franklin Street.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Ellis; parents, Moorman and Welva Rickard; brother, Tommy Rickard; and granddaughter, Katelin Ellis.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Ellis (Kim) of Evansville; daughter, Audra Fetcher of Evansville; grandchildren, Kristen Ellis, Aaron Fetcher, Matthew Ellis, Claire Ellis and Blake Ellis; great-grandchild, Alea Fetcher; brother, Carroll Rickard (Patricia) of Scottsdale, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Dale Beaver with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
