Janet E. Rice

Janet graduated from McLeansboro High School in 1957. She had worked at Atlas Van Lines, Faultless Castor, Grace Baptist Church and Olivet Church where she was a Deacon for many years. Janet was involved in the Tres Dias Community. She enjoyed toll painting and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Inez (Woodruff) Martin; husband of 49 years, Gene; and brothers, Paul and George Martin.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Susan Young (Jack) and Amy Faith (Mike); grandchildren, Elise Young, Kurt Cordell and Kara Pfister (Nathan); and great granddaughter, Abigail Pfister.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Alexander North Chapel, with Pastor Trey McClain officiating. Friends may visit Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
