Obituary of James W. Pauli Jr.
James W. Pauli Jr., 51 of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown. He was born on April 28, 1967 to the late James and Vivian (Sturm) Pauli Sr. Jim is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shelley (Wells) Pauli; son, Johnathan Pauli; daughters, Jessica and Jenna Pauli; sisters, Chris Pauli, Cheryl Farmer (Sean); nieces, Alex and Allison Farmer; brother-in-law, David Wells (Jodi); nieces, Brinley and Britton Wells; mother and father- in-law, Nancy and Larry Moore. “Jimmy” was a Captain on Engine 3 with the Evansville Fire Department serving 31 years. Prior to his joining the Evansville FD he was a member of the German Township Volunteer Fire Department rising to the rank Captain. He is one of those firefighters that if you were in trouble on a fire this is the guy who could come and get you out of trouble. Jimmy was always there when someone needed help whether it be a firefighter, friend, group or someone he didn’t know. He would be there with his tool bag to help fix the problem. He is the ultimate “fix it” man. He could look at a problem and figure out how to fix it and fix it. He made the world a better place with his spontaneous wit, sarcasm and smile. Those who know him could feel his influence on them right away. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday February 25, 2019 at The Bridge Church, 820 W. Mt. Pleasant Rd, Evansville, IN officiated by Brandon Lindsey. Friends may visit Sunday 2-6 p.m. at Alexander West Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the German Township Fire Department or The Bridge Church.
