Jacqueline Doris Farmer

Jacqueline Doris Farmer, 73, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 22, 1939, in Evansville to the late Alonzo and Elnora Hackner.
She was a member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church. She was baptized at an early age with Independence Baptist Church. Jacqueline loved her grandkids and they gave her great joy and made her smile. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and being a homemaker.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by sons, Mark and Timothy Farmer; grandson, Demar Farmer; six brothers; and five sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rev. Robert L. Farmer; daughter and caregiver, Roberta Farmer; sons, Robert B. Farmer and David Farmer, Sr. (Evelyn); daughter-in-law, Patsy Farmer (Timothy’s widow); 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Louella Dixon of Michigan City, MI and Ruby Lockett of Evansville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 22, 2013, at Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, 867 East Walnut Street, officiated by Rev. Larry Rascoe, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Karen Neeley, the nurses and staff at St. Mary’s, and the VNA nurses.
