Herbert R. Toone, 73, of Evansville, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born March 13, 1943, in Evansville, to the late Richard and Anas (Jewell) Toone.
He worked for Wink Tile Company for 35 years and then for Gerhardt Tile. He was a member of Covert Avenue Baptist Church.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patty Sue Allen; and brother, Eugene Toone.
He is survived by his spouse of 50 years, Wanda (Ellis) Toone; sisters, Brenda Capehart and Debbie Toone; brother, Leslie “Bud” Toone; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Brother Curt Beadle, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
