He was employed as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration for 45 years. He was a member of Hadi Shrine and No Ruz Grotto.
Gary is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy (Fickas) Fowler; daughters, Cindy Fowler of Newburgh and Karen (John) Fowler-Steeland of Houston, TX; and cousins.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 6, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
