Mrs. Weiss was a homemaker, a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary # 1114. She enjoyed dancing, quilting and embroidery.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Clemens A. Weiss in November of 2004.
Surviving Evelyn is her son, Roy Weiss and his wife, Darla, her daughter Linda Knapp and her husband, Thomas, along with her five grandchildren, Tim Weiss, David (Wendy) Weiss, Greg (Lorrie) Weiss, Tiffany (John) Hassebrock, Tennille (Ron) Schell and her eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: John, August, Margaret, Ida and Marie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Herr officiating. Burial to follow in Memorial Park.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, with a memorial service at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit from 10:30 A.M. until service time at the church.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, St. Vincent Food Pantry, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, or Mater Dei High School.
