Edward E. Gibbs, Sr., 82, of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was born on November 26, 1939.
Ed retired from Hahn Equipment after 38 years. He was a lifetime member of the West Side Sportsman’s Club where he played Santa. He was also a member of the Civil Defense. In his younger years he loved to fish and play guitar. Ed liked the outdoors and gardening.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Linda L. Gibbs; father, Earl Gibbs; mother, Lois Euler; sisters, Ruby Basham and Linda Euler; brother, Carl Euler, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Faver (Robert); son, Edward E. Gibbs, Jr. (Christa); brothers, Charlie Euler and Jimmy Gibbs; sister, Judy Euler; grandchildren, Kayla Smith (Donald), Michelle Faver (Robert), Heath Gibbs, Noah Garrett, Daniele Faver (Jason); great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Logan, Katalina, and Chase.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Jim Webb and live-streamed at www.facebook.com/funeralstreamusa. Burial will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel and Thursday 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
